Jennifer Provencio was born and raised in California’s Central Valley, where her passion for children, families, faith, and education first began. She earned her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno, along with a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. She went on to teach elementary school for Fresno Unified School District, including several years in a demonstration classroom.
Jennifer later continued her education in Christian counseling, earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary. Today, she serves as a Christian counselor, author, speaker, and family advocate, with a special focus on helping parents navigate the challenges technology and screen use present to today’s families.
As a ScreenStrong Ambassador, Jennifer is passionate about educating parents on the effects of excessive screen use, gaming, social media, pornography, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. Her goal is not simply to encourage families to use fewer screens, but to help them develop the wisdom, boundaries, and habits necessary to protect childhood, strengthen relationships, and create homes where real-life connection can flourish.
Jennifer helps lead and develop Screen Balance: Wisdom for Screens. Strength for Families., a ministry of Apostolic Moral Purity, where she works alongside Dr. Daniel Sirstad to serve Apostolic families. Through Screen Balance, she is dedicated to equipping parents with biblical guidance, practical tools, education, and resources to help them navigate the challenges of raising children in an increasingly digital world. She is also the author of several resources for children and families, including The Digital Detox Challenge.
At the heart of everything Jennifer does is her faith and her family. She is married to her husband, Matthew, and considers being Gabriel’s mom one of the greatest honors of her life. Together, their family attends and serves at Truth Tabernacle in Fresno, California, where their faith remains the foundation of their home and ministry.
Whether she is writing, counseling, speaking, or developing resources for families, Jennifer’s mission is simple: to help parents raise strong, grounded children who are equipped to live with wisdom, purpose, faith, and healthy boundaries in a digital world.

June 2024, our son Gabriel graduated from Truth Tabernacle Christian School. He achieved the highest honor of being chosen for the 2024 Boy's Christian Character Award.
